1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Execruit GmbH (“Execruit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.execruits.com, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we collect, use, and protect personal data. Where this Policy and the Privacy Policy describe the same processing activity, the Privacy Policy governs.

This Policy is issued in line with the Swiss Unfair Competition Act (“UCA”), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (“nDSG”), the Swiss Telecommunications Act (“TA”), and, where applicable, the EU Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive (“PECD”) and General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise your browser on return visits, remember your preferences, and, where applicable, understand how the website is used.

Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser or your session expires, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until their expiry date or until you delete them. Cookies may also be set by us directly (first-party cookies) or by a third-party provider whose content or service appears on our website (third-party cookies).

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

We use two broad categories of cookies, consistent with the categories described in our Privacy Policy:

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for our website to function correctly — for example, remembering actions you have taken earlier in the same session. Essential cookies do not require consent and cannot be disabled through Cookiebot, our cookie consent management platform. This category includes Cookiebot’s own consent-state cookie, which records and remembers the choices you make.

Non-Essential Cookies

Non-essential cookies are not required for the website to function, but support improvements to content, usage analysis, and personalisation. Non-essential cookies fall into the following types, and are only set with your consent:

  • Functional — remember your preferences to provide a more personalised experience.
  • Performance — help us understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
  • Analytical — allow us and our third-party providers to recognise repeat visits and analyse usage patterns, in some cases combined with data collected elsewhere.
  • Advertising — used by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and display relevant advertising on other websites.

4. Cookies and Services in Use

The table below lists the third-party services currently used on our website that may set cookies. This list is reviewed periodically to ensure it reflects what is actually deployed on the site.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics (Google LLC) helps us understand how visitors use our website. Data processed includes a truncated, anonymised IP address, the pages visited, the referring website, time spent on the site, and visit frequency. This data may be transmitted to and stored by Google, including in the United States. Use of this service is based on your consent.

Google Tag Manager and Google Site Tag

Google Tag Manager and Google Site Tag (Google LLC) are used to manage and deploy the tags and scripts on our website, including those listed elsewhere in this Policy. Google Tag Manager and Google Site Tag do not themselves set cookies, but manage the deployment of other tools that may. Use of this service is based on your consent where it deploys non-essential tags.

Google Fonts and Font Awesome

We use Google Fonts (Google LLC) and Font Awesome (Fonticons, Inc.) to display typography and icons consistently. These services are generally loaded without setting cookies; where a request to these providers is made, your IP address is transmitted to enable delivery of the relevant asset.

Google Ads, Remarketing, and Conversion Tracking

Google Ads (Google LLC) allows us to display advertising on Google’s search engine and third-party websites, and to measure the performance of that advertising. Through Google Ads Remarketing, visitors who interact with our website or advertisements may be shown interest-based advertising on other websites and devices. Through Google Conversion Tracking, we can see aggregate information about actions taken after a user clicks one of our advertisements, without receiving information that personally identifies that user. Use of these services is based on your consent.

Pixel Cookies and Tags

We may use pixel-based tracking tools provided by advertising partners to understand and improve the performance of our advertising. Where used, we and the relevant partner act as joint controllers for the data collected through the pixel, though the partner remains the sole controller for its own subsequent processing. Use of this service is based on your consent. For further information, please refer to the relevant partner’s own privacy policy.

When you first visit our website, you will be asked to consent to the use of non-essential cookies through Cookiebot, our cookie consent management platform, provided by Cybot A/S. You may accept all cookies, adjust your preferences by category, or reject all non-essential cookies while retaining essential cookies, which are necessary for the website to function. Cookiebot also automatically scans our website to help ensure this Policy stays current with the cookies actually in use. You may change your preferences or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings icon available on our website.

If you decline or later withdraw consent to non-essential cookies, some features and personalisation on our website may not be available to you.

6. Managing or Deleting Cookies

Cookies are stored locally on your device rather than on our systems, so we are unable to access, retrieve, or delete cookies on your behalf. You can manage or delete cookies directly through your browser settings:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Opera
  • Safari

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To manage personalised advertising from your Google account, visit Google Ads Settings. You may also object to interest-based advertising more broadly through Your Online Choices, the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, the Network Advertising Initiative, or AdChoices.

If you follow a link from our website to a third-party website, that website may set its own cookies, which are not covered by this Policy. We recommend reviewing the cookie policy of any third-party website you visit.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and services we use, or in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
